Sea of Tranquility - [9/10]

This is one of those books where the blurb or even just hearing the plot doesn’t do the book it’s justice. This is a time travel novel, but it’s not a cheap science fiction, it’s a commentary on social issues and life. Really poetic and beautiful read. Bit of a shorter one, but it gets done what it needs to do in its pages. I love the sentiment that gets explained at the end, that if life is a simulation, then who cares because it’s a damn good one. Tackles some big philosophical ideas in an enjoyable way that made for a solid read. Also want to mention that I read this on my phone, bought and downloaded it, and whilst I love the convenience of being able to read this wherever and whenever, I think it took away from the book a bit. You can’t take away the beauty of reading a physical book, holding it in your hands and turning the pages, the accomplishment of finishing it. Tapping a screen just doesn’t do it justice.
